A perfect dessert that can be prepared the day before. If the thought of making this fancy dessert is intimidating, fear not, we’ve done half the work for you. You’ll be amazed at how easy and delicious it is!

1 package Nadja’s Fat Reduced Brownies
1 pint (2 cups) Vanilla fat reduced ice-cream (softened)
or your favorite flavor
3 egg whites (use real eggs not packaged whites)
3 Tablespoons sugar
1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar (found in the baking section of the grocery store)

Place wrapped Brownie package in the freezer for at least one hour.
Remove from freezer, unwrap and remove the lid.

Spread softened ice-cream evenly over Nadja’s Brownie to make one layer of ice-cream.

Replace lid, snap closed and return to freezer for 1 hour or more.

If you are serving right away Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Whip egg whites with electric beater until frothy. Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form. Gradually beat in the sugar. Beat until stiff but not dry.

Remove Brownie pan from freezer. Remove lid and label, the pan bottom is oven safe. Spread meringue over the ice-cream layer, making sure to spread meringue evenly all the way to the edges of the pan so the ice-cream layer is sealed. At this point you can bake as per the directions below or freeze. If freezing, freeze uncovered until meringue is solid at least 2 hours and up to 2 days. Do not thaw before baking.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place prepared brownie pan on a baking sheet. Place in oven and bake for 5-6 minutes until the meringue is delicately browned.
