When you serve this elegant and easy dessert, your guests will never guess that the Tiramisu is low fat and low calorie.
6 Nadja’s Petite Angel Cakes (one package)
2 Tbsp Sugar or Splenda(Granular) no calorie sweetener
¾ Cup Water (very warm)
1 Oz Kahlua Liqueur (optional)
2 Tsp Instant coffee granules
1 Tsp Vanilla extract
8 Oz (226 gram) container low fat or fat free frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 Tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ Cup Slivered almonds, roasted
In a small bowl, stir together sugar, warm water, coffee granules, vanilla and Kaluha liqueur until completely dissolved.
Leave the Petite Angel Cakes in the original container or evenly place in a 7 X 12 -inch square baking pan.
Fill the centers of the Petite Angel Cakes to the tops with the coffee liquid and evenly spoon liquid over the entire cakes. Let stand 10 minutes. Then spoon additional liquid from the bottom of the pan over the Angel Cakes until most of the liquid is absorbed.
Using a spatula, carefully remove each cake one at a time to a working plate for frosting. Spoon 1/6 of the whipped topping over each Petite Angel Cake and spread evenly.
Sprinkle 1/6 of the cocoa powder, through a sieve, evenly over each cake.
Sprinkle evenly with almonds.
Remove to a serving plate.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour. (Can also be frozen in plastic containers and served at a later date. Thaw in refrigerator a few hours before serving.)
